Smoked Salmon and Avocado Toast
It’s a classic but I’m a huge fan of this Smoked Salmon and Avocado Toast. Perfect for a really easy meal, whether breakfast or dinner.

Ingredients
- 4 bread slices (such as sourdough or multigrain)
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 lemon
- 200 grams smoked salmon
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp capers
- fresh dill, for garnish
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
Instructions
- Peel and pit the avocados. In a bowl, mash the avocados with a fork until smooth.
- Mix in lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
- Toast the bread slices in a toaster until golden and crispy.
- Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each slice of toasted bread.
- Spread a generous layer of the avocado mixture on top of the cream cheese.
- Arrange slices of smoked salmon over the avocado.
- Scatter thinly sliced red onion and capers over the smoked salmon.
- Garnish with sprigs of fresh dill.
