Pan-Seared Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce
Salmon is one of my favourite fish dishes, so this Pan-Seared Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce is perfect for any night of the week.
UNDER 10 MINS
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin-side down if they have skin.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a nice golden crust. Remove the salmon from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, reduce the heat to medium.
- Add the butter and let it melt.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in the lemon juice and let the sauce simmer for another 1-2 minutes.
- Return the salmon fillets to the pan and spoon the lemon butter sauce over them.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat the salmon through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
- Transfer the salmon fillets to serving plates.
- Drizzle any remaining lemon butter sauce over the top.
